Advanced Plant Monitoring Technology

Combining High-Resolution Electrical Waveform Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence

You now have the ability to monitor, analyze and action plant data in an entirely new way. At the core of the wave iQ® platform is an Advanced Sensing and Prediction engine, applying machine learning algorithms to electrical waveform signals, providing new insight into pending problems with a systematic approach to pre-fault detection and avoidance.

Improving Efficiency and Profitability

Core Applications

Unmatched Visibility with SCADA+

With SCADA+, you leverage the computational power of "intelligence at the edge" bringing results of high-resolution waveform analysis to your SCADA dashboard to help predict and prevent failure.

Predicting Faults - with Autonomous Learning

At the core of wave iQ® and the SMART Block® devices, the ML engine is always running, analyzing, and learning from past and current events, helping to predict and prevent the next outage.

Using Sequence Components to calculate DTF

Using industry proven impedance-based algorithms, wave iQ® Series pinpoints the location of faults so repairs can be undertaken quickly and safely.

Validating Relay Performance

Correct operation of protection relays is important to prevent nuisance tripping and also to help ensure the safety of the grid. Learn how SMART Block® edge devices are being used to validate the performance of protection relays.

Mitigating the Effects of Unwanted Harmonics

Excessive Harmonic content is a sure sign of problems ahead, with over-heating and stress on equipment. Real-time monitoring of over 50 harmonics helps ensure you avoid harmonic related problems.

Knowing Your Harmonic Impedances

Harmonic impedance characterizes the voltage response of a power system when it is subjected to the influence of high-frequency currents. Thus, can be used to help diagnose high-frequency related power system problems and in designing harmonic mitigation filters.

API Builder enables seamless integrations

With only a few clicks, the API builder automatically creates the API call script which can be pasted into an existing application for easy access to edge intelligence and wave iQ® analytical results.

Stay Informed with Alert Notifications

With wave iQ® Daily Reports and Alert Notifications, you can rest assured knowing all is up and running smoothly on your network. Designate authorized users and notification schedules to ensure proper communication of key insights.

Our commitment: Sustainability

Helping hydro power bring water to the southwest

When electrical circuits experience nuisance tripping, customers along the line feel it firsthand. And, if water pumps stop as a result, little time is available before serious conditions can arise. Fischer Block, Inc. is proud to have been selected to provide an early warning system, using machine learning and predictive analytical techniques, which is in use today, improving energy delivery reliability to this critical hydro industry.

Social Outreach

Tis the Season

It is now a tradition here at Fischer Block, Inc. - Each year, we rent a local kitchen and get busy making cinnamon snacks, loaded with wheat chex, pecans and maple syrup. What started out as a thankful year-end gesture to our happy customer base, has now grown into a Christmas-time tradition of giving to needy families and our friends at the local Salvation Army.

Diversity

Empowering Women to New Heights

The field tech team at Fischer Block, Inc. was recently happy to have their VP/Director of Strategic Accounts, Margaret Paietta, accompany them uptower, to get a few photos for her next article.

You can see some of these photos in an upcoming edition of North American Clean Energy.
